Monitoring and evaluation, an essential component of any project, has taken on a more formal and scientific complexity in recent years. This shift, however, need not leave anyone behind. We believe that any organization and individual is capable of learning and utilizing monitoring and evaluation tools according to their level of experience, knowledge, and skills. As such, we make sure to carefully choose impact indicators at the start of a project that best represent the reality on the ground, that make sense to stakeholders, and which can be easily adapted to their knowledge and technical abilities.
From there, we provide the guidance and skills necessary as impact indicators and monitoring and evaluation take on increasing complexity over the course of the project. Our goal is to ensure that the process of quantifying and demonstrating your project’s impact is part of an integrative process of mutual learning—rather than the most expensive and time-consuming project component.
